Pat N Jac and Region Of Merit three year olds won both Guineas Trials on March 13, 2010, the Thornbird Stakes for fillies and the Prince Consort Stakes for colts.  Both stallions stand at the Orange Valley Estates Limited, Champion breeders on many occasions.  In the fillies division, GABIWITZO by Pat N Jac outsprinted her 15 rivals down the stretch to score a facile win; while LIFEISJUSFORLIVING by Region Of Merit again stamped his class over his peers in the colts division.

Bred by the Argyll Farms Limited and sold in the 2008 TOBA Yearling Sale for $350,000, GABIWITZO has progressed nicely from 2 to 3 years.  Having placed second in each of her first 4 starts and released her maiden certificate going 7 furlongs when scoring over Merits Bright Light (by Region Of Merit) on the next occasion, GABIWITZO circled rivals on the turn to win by 4 lengths over Soca Party (by Region Of Merit) and the aforementioned Merits Bright Light; to record a 1-2-3 for Orange Valley Estates stallions.  She is by Gr1 stakes winner ROYAL GRIND, which makes her a half sister to 2008 Jamaica 2000 Guineas winner ROYAL IMAGE.  GABIWITZO is owned by Mr. Sherman Clachar who together with Mr. Norman Gordon purchased and raced TOBA Sales Graduate and 2008 Horse of the Year ALSAFRA, who like GABIWITZO is trained by veteran Mr. Fitznahum Williams.

In the Prince Consort Stakes LIFEISJUSFORLIVING again won by the proverbial city block when winning in a smart 1:25.2 over 7 furlongs thereby placing himself as the leading contender for the April 5th Jamaica 2000 Guineas (Gr1).  Junior Minister (by Coded Warning) chased him in the distance and Kryptogram (by Coded Warning) rounded out the top 3.  LIFEISJUSFORLIVING is bred by the Orange Valley Estates Limited and is the first graded stakes winner from multiple Grade 1 winner BOLD QUEEN.  He is owned by Mr. Edmund Thomas' Church Pen Farm and trained by many times Champion Trainer Mr. Wayne DaCosta, the same team that raced Triple Crown Winner and Horse of the Year WAR ZONE through his career.
